What is Shutter Speed??

Image
WHAT IS SHUTTER SPEED? Shutter Speed is the length of time the camera shutter is open, exposing light on to the camera sensors. Shutter Speed is one of the three elements of Exposure Triangle that are responsible for correctly exposing the photos. Shutter speed decides whether to freeze the subject in your frame or to capture a long exposure moment. In this blog post, I am going to shed some light on what exactly the shutter speed is and how you can control it to click various kinds of photos. How Shutter Speed Is Measured?? Shutter speed are measured in fractions of a second. Most modern DSLRs and mirrorless cameras can handle shutter speeds of 1/4000th of a second at the fastest, while some can handle even quicker speeds of 1/8000th of a second and faster. On the other hand, the longest available shutter speed on most DSLRs or mirrorless cameras is typically 30 seconds. You can use a longer shutter speed by using external remote triggers, if necessary. Understanding ISO Sensitivity

Image
ISO refers to the senstivity -the signal gain-of the camera. In simply, ISO is simply a camera setting that will brighten or darken a photo. As you increase your ISO number, your photos will grow progressively brighter. For that reason, ISO can help you capture images in darker environments, or be more flexible about your aperture and shutter speed settings. WHAT IS BASE ISO? The lowest native ISO on  camera is  “base ISO”. This is a very important setting, because it gives you the potential to produce the highest image quality, minimizing the visibility of noise as much as possible   ISO VALUES ISO 100 (low ISO) ISO 200 ISO 400 ISO 800 ISO 1600 ISO 3200 ISO 6400 (high ISO) LOW VS HIGH ISO NOISE VISIBILITY   Take a look at the comparison below. Pay attention to the level of noise (graininess and    blotchy colors) in the images: The difference is clear – the image at ISO 3200 has much more noise than the one at ISO 200 (which I brightened with a long s...

DIGITAL CAMERA MODES

Image
DIGITAL CAMERA MODES   can be defined as camera controls that are used by the photographer before shooting the subject. This effect the things like main setting of aperture, shutter speed and ISO and help to get better exposure of in an image Digital camera modes can be changed using different camera modes icons. Most Digital Camera have this on the top of the camera body. DIFFERENT CAMERA MODES IN DIGITAl PHOTOGRAPHY MANUAL CAMERA MODE PROGRAM CAMERA MODE SHUTTER PRIORITY MODE APERTURE PRIORITY MODE MANUAL CAMERA MODE Manual control stands for total manual  control of aperture and shutter speed. In this mode we can set  aperture and shutter speed to any value we want. the camera lets you fully take over the exposure controls. This mode is generally used in situations, where the camera has a hard time figuring out the correct exposure in extreme lighting situations. Manual mode is also useful for consistency, if you need to make sure that both shutter speed and aperture s...
